Chapter 20: Integrating All Art Forms

"Integrating All Art Forms" is the final chapter and draws visual arts, music, dance and theatre together in one experience. Children may create a performance that includes a story, songs, movement, masks or backdrops, working in groups with different roles. The prelims note that although the four art forms are unique, they have interesting similarities, like children themselves. The chapter develops collaboration, creativity and appreciation of how art forms support each other. A shared performance or exhibition is a joyful way to end the year and celebrate every child's contribution.

This is chapter 20 of 20 in Bansuri, the Class 3 Arts textbook, in the Integrating All Art Forms section, and begins on page 137 of the printed 2026-27 book. It is the final chapter, following "Activities".

The activities in "Integrating All Art Forms" are suggestions that teachers can select, adapt and extend. Children may work alone or in groups, and the book reminds teachers that diversity of expression is the beauty of childhood. Assessment tools in the book track growth in competence and skill over time. Families can help by providing simple materials, displaying the child's work and encouraging practice at home without criticism.

Provide simple materials at home, such as paper, crayons, clay, leaves or household objects, and let your child explore without worrying about the result. Display their work and ask them to talk about what they made or performed in "Integrating All Art Forms". Avoid comparing it with others' work.

This overview is written from the 2026-27 textbook's Contents page, its preface and the chapter title, to help families and teachers prepare. Please read the chapter itself for exact content, activities and exercises.
