Chapter 16: پیغام رسانی

"Paigham Rasaani" (پیغام رسانی) is the last numbered chapter, an essay on communication whose title means "the delivery of messages". Students are likely to trace how messages have travelled over time, from messengers and letters to telegrams, phones and the internet. At about nine pages it is a mid-length essay. It links with the Hindi chapter on a letter from Haridwar, the Urdu chapter on digital technology and the Social Science chapter on infrastructure. A closing read-only piece, the Neeti Shatakam of Bhartrihari, follows it.

This is chapter 16 of 16 in Khayal, the Class 8 Urdu textbook, and begins on page 159 of the printed 2026-27 book. It is the final chapter, following "مصنوعی ذہانت". Its form in the contents is: essay. Transliterated title: Paigham Rasaani.

In "پیغام رسانی", the aims are fluent reading, clear pronunciation and understanding. Children can be asked to read a few lines aloud, explain what they understood, find new words and use them in a sentence of their own. The book links Urdu with art, environment, science and social science, so discussion can move beyond the text to the child's surroundings. Oral answers come before written ones, and children should not be hurried or discouraged by errors in spelling or script.

Make reading "پیغام رسانی" a shared moment. Take turns reading lines, discuss unfamiliar words and look for them in newspapers or signs. Short, daily practice, with praise for effort, helps the script and the language settle.

This overview is written from the 2026-27 textbook's Contents page, its preface and the chapter title, to help families and teachers prepare. Please read the chapter itself for exact content, activities and exercises.
