NCERT Solutions for Class 1 Urdu Chapter 5: چلو اسکول چلیں

"Chalo School Chalein" (let us go to school) is a story about going to school, a theme that matters in Class 1. Children talk about their journey to school, what they carry, who they meet and how they feel, which eases the transition into school life. The chapter uses everyday vocabulary and may include scenes of getting ready and walking with friends. It supports speaking, listening and sequencing, and gives practice with new letters and words. Children can draw their route to school and name the people and things they see. This is chapter 5 of 18 in Shahnai, the Class 1 Urdu textbook, and begins on page 26 of the printed 2026-27 book. It follows "آؤ پڑھیں ہم" and is followed by "باغ کی سیر". Its form in the contents is: story. Transliterated title: Chalo School Chalein. Urdu textbooks at this stage share cultural values as well as language, and "چلو اسکول چلیں" is an opportunity to do both. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are developed together, and the teacher's own clear, expressive reading is the most useful model. Short daily practice in tracing letters and copying neat lines helps with the shapes of the script. Families can help by listening to the child read, by sharing poems and stories from their own heritage and by praising effort. Listen to your child read "چلو اسکول چلیں" aloud at home and ask what they understood. Point to words along the line from right to left, and help them trace letters carefully. Reciting poems to family members builds both pronunciation and confidence. This overview is written from the 2026-27 textbook's Contents page, its preface and the chapter title, to help families and teachers prepare. Please read the chapter itself for exact content, activities and exercises.
