NCERT Solutions for Class 4 Arts Chapter 7: Let's Create
"Let's Create" invites children to make their own theatre: short scenes, characters and stories, planned and performed in small groups. They decide what happens, who plays whom and how to show it, practising planning, cooperation and problem-solving, and may use simple props, masks or costumes made from available materials. The Panchatantra story that runs through the book can be a starting point. Children present to classmates, learning both to perform and to be an audience. Low-cost materials are enough for effective and joyful theatre. This is chapter 7 of 18 in Bansuri, the Class 4 Arts textbook, in the Theatre section, and begins on page 73 of the printed 2026-27 book. It follows "Imagine" and is followed by "Look Around". "Let's Create" is meant to be experienced, not just read. Teachers are encouraged to use the resources in the chapter's QR code, invite local artists or take children out to observe and listen. The book asks that periods allotted to arts are not used for other subjects, and that children are never compared with each other. Each child is encouraged to compete only with their own earlier work, and to enjoy the activity. Where possible, link "Let's Create" to local art and culture: a visit to a performance, a craft in the neighbourhood or a song from a grandparent. These experiences deepen the chapter and show that arts are a living part of community life. This overview is written from the 2026-27 textbook's Contents page, its preface and the chapter title, to help families and teachers prepare. Please read the chapter itself for exact content, activities and exercises.
