NCERT Solutions for Class 4 Urdu Chapter 8: بہادر روپا
"Bahadur Roopa" (بہادر روپا) is a story translated from Hindi, which shows how stories move between languages. The title, "brave Roopa", suggests a young character who shows courage, and the contents mark it as a translated story. Children follow the plot, discuss what courage means and compare it with other stories of bravery. The chapter supports comprehension, retelling and vocabulary, and invites children to think about the choices the character makes. Role-play of key scenes helps them see events from different points of view. This is chapter 8 of 14 in Sitar, the Class 4 Urdu textbook, and begins on page 94 of the printed 2026-27 book. It follows "دریا کنارے چاندنی" and is followed by "گول گنبد". Its form in the contents is: story (translated from hindi). Transliterated title: Bahadur Roopa. Urdu textbooks at this stage share cultural values as well as language, and "بہادر روپا" is an opportunity to do both. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are developed together, and the teacher's own clear, expressive reading is the most useful model. Short daily practice in tracing letters and copying neat lines helps with the shapes of the script. Families can help by listening to the child read, by sharing poems and stories from their own heritage and by praising effort. Listen to your child read "بہادر روپا" aloud at home and ask what they understood. Point to words along the line from right to left, and help them trace letters carefully. Reciting poems to family members builds both pronunciation and confidence. This overview is written from the 2026-27 textbook's Contents page, its preface and the chapter title, to help families and teachers prepare. Please read the chapter itself for exact content, activities and exercises.
