NCERT Solutions for Class 8 English Chapter 14: Magnifying Glass
"Magnifying Glass" is a poem by Walter de la Mare, at about eleven pages with its activities. The preface says it encourages students to explore perception and mystery. A magnifying glass makes small things large, so the poem invites children to look closely at the ordinary and wonder at what they have missed. Students read and recite, notice imagery and discuss how close observation changes what we see. It links with the Science chapter on the invisible living world and with light and lenses, and a few moments with a real magnifying glass bring it to life.
