Chapter 14: ڈیجیٹل ٹیکنالوجی

"Digital Technology" (ڈیجیٹل ٹیکنالوجی) is the last numbered chapter, an essay by Mohammad Aslam Parvez, a science writer in Urdu. They discuss benefits and risks and their own use of devices. The chapter supports reading informational prose and learning technical vocabulary in Urdu, and links with the Vocational Education project on AI. A closing read-only poem by Akhtar Shirani follows it.

This is chapter 14 of 14 in Khayal, the Class 7 Urdu textbook, and begins on page 127 of the printed 2026-27 book. It is the final chapter, following "جھلکاری بائی". Its form in the contents is: essay, by Mohammad Aslam Parvez. Transliterated title: Digital Technology.

Urdu textbooks at this stage share cultural values as well as language, and "ڈیجیٹل ٹیکنالوجی" is an opportunity to do both. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are developed together, and the teacher's own clear, expressive reading is the most useful model. Short daily practice in tracing letters and copying neat lines helps with the shapes of the script. Families can help by listening to the child read, by sharing poems and stories from their own heritage and by praising effort.

Listen to your child read "ڈیجیٹل ٹیکنالوجی" aloud at home and ask what they understood. Point to words along the line from right to left, and help them trace letters carefully. Reciting poems to family members builds both pronunciation and confidence.

This overview is written from the 2026-27 textbook's Contents page, its preface and the chapter title, to help families and teachers prepare. Please read the chapter itself for exact content, activities and exercises.
