NCERT Solutions for Class 2 Urdu Chapter 11: سمجھ داری

"Samajh Daari" (good sense, wisdom) is an essay, the second of two in the book. Its title points to being sensible and thoughtful, and the essay probably gives simple, clear ideas about good judgment in daily life. Children read short informational prose, discuss examples from their own lives and think about making wise choices. The chapter supports comprehension and values and helps children move beyond stories and poems to reading plain explanatory text. Role-play of everyday situations can bring the ideas to life. This is chapter 11 of 19 in Shahnai, the Class 2 Urdu textbook, and begins on page 64 of the printed 2026-27 book. It follows "عید کا چاند" and is followed by "ہنستا کھیلتا خاندان". Its form in the contents is: essay. Transliterated title: Samajh Daari. Urdu textbooks at this stage share cultural values as well as language, and "سمجھ داری" is an opportunity to do both. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are developed together, and the teacher's own clear, expressive reading is the most useful model. Short daily practice in tracing letters and copying neat lines helps with the shapes of the script. Families can help by listening to the child read, by sharing poems and stories from their own heritage and by praising effort. Listen to your child read "سمجھ داری" aloud at home and ask what they understood. Point to words along the line from right to left, and help them trace letters carefully. Reciting poems to family members builds both pronunciation and confidence. This overview is written from the 2026-27 textbook's Contents page, its preface and the chapter title, to help families and teachers prepare. Please read the chapter itself for exact content, activities and exercises.
